Tapas Pal was born on 29 September 1958.He is an actor working predominantly in Bengali Film Industry.He received Filmfare Award for his film Saheb(1981). He debuted in film with Tarun MajumdersDadar Kirti. His next films mainly included romantic, action and family drama such as Bhalobasa Bhalobasa(1985), Arpan(1987), Nayanmani(1989), Surer Akashe(1988), Mayabini(1992), Shubha Kamana(1991), Chokher Aloy(1989),Uttara(2000), Mondo Meyer Upakhyan(2002), Samapti(1983), Anurag(1990), Rajar Meye Parul(1993), Parashmani(1988), Shikar( 2006), Challenge 2( 2012). He is a member of the political party All India Trinamool Congress. He was MP of Krishnanagar and two times MLA from Alipore.
